A NON-SHELTERED ANIMAL RESCUE ORGANIZATION

"Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless and suffering pets through humane education, adoptions and foster care.� We will work with community resources including local veterinarians and Mesa County Animal services towards achieving our mission."


Maddie's Fund, the Pet Rescue Foundation, has awarded a $40,000 grant to support the worthy goal of eliminatingeuthanasia of healthy and treatable dogs and cats in this Western Slope Region. The grant amount for each agency was determined using the number of animals adopted or transferred by eachagency in 2008. Mesa County Animal Services will be administering the grant based on those statistics and the amount listed below.

Maddie's Fund, The Pet Rescue Foundation, (www.maddiesfund.org) is a familyfoundation funded by Workday and People Soft Founder Dave Duffield and his wife, Cheryl. Maddie's Fund is helping to create a no-kill nation where all healthy and treatable shelter dogs and cats are guaranteed a loving home. Maddie's Fund is named after the family's beloved Miniature Schnauzer.

Cats are always available for adoption at PetSmart, Petco and Save-A-Pet Thrift Store. Dog adoption events are held on weekends at PetSmart OR Petco
